Cordura® Fabric

Cordura® is the reference point for abrasion resistance in bag making. When a fabric gets described as tough, this is usually what it is being compared to.

We carry three, and the choice comes down to weight and what the yarn is made of. Classic 1000D is the original, woven from nylon 6.6, and it is what most tactical, workwear, luggage, and duffel builds default to. It comes in eighteen colours, including four high visibility options.

The re/cor range gets the same abrasion story out of recycled RPET yarn rather than virgin nylon. re/cor 600D is the mid-weight, sized for bag bodies, organizers, and workwear panels. re/cor 1200D is the heavy one, for pack bottoms, tool bags, and anything that gets dragged rather than carried.

All three are sold by the half yard and cut continuously, with no minimum order. If you are deciding between weights, order samples first. The difference between 600D and 1200D is obvious in the hand and hard to judge from a photo.
