MARA 50

Gutermann MARA 50 is a Tex 60 polyester thread built on MCT, or Micro Core Technology: a fine continuous filament core wrapped in staple fibre. That construction is what lets it be thin for its strength, so you get a smooth, flat seam without the bulk you'd expect from a thread this tough.

The wrapped surface gives it a soft, silky feel that feeds cleanly and runs dust and lint free, which matters if you're sewing a long production run and don't want fluff building up in the tension discs. Tex 60 is the everyday weight for pack and bag work: strong enough for shoulder straps, bar tacks, and load-bearing seams, fine enough that it won't chew up lightweight ripstop or leave heavy stitching on a small pouch. It's tear and abrasion resistant, so it holds up on gear that gets used hard.

This is a stocked line, not deadstock, so you can come back for more of the same colour when a project grows or a production run repeats. Five colourways, chosen to sit well with technical outdoor fabric.
