A properly airtight zipper, not just a water-resistant one. The MasterSeal 10 holds a seal to 1.0 bar, roughly 14.5 psi, which is why it turns up in drysuits, packrafts, inflatable bladders, and equipment cases where a leak is a failure rather than a nuisance.
The seal comes from a continuous sealing lip pressed together across the interlocking elements, with plastic teeth bonded to both faces of a polyurethane-coated tape. The improved bottom stop and flexible tape mean it holds pressure without becoming a rigid panel in your build. The brim is thick but sews through cleanly and takes adhesives well.
At 800mm this is one of the longer runs we stock, suited to drysuit entries, packraft tube openings, and full-width access panels on cases and covers. Closed at both ends, with a polymer slider. Keep it lubricated with TIZIP lubricant, and if the slider ever wears out, the Lifetime Extension Kit replaces it without replacing the zipper.
