Mesh does two jobs in a pack build. Semi-stiff mesh holds its shape for external pockets and bottle sleeves, so they stay open when you reach in. Spacer mesh is an open 3D knit that adds breathable padding to shoulder straps, hip belts, and back panels without the weight of closed-cell foam.
