This is a YKK reverse coil slider in the non-locking style, size #3, made for reverse coil zippers like the AquaGuard, where the coil sits on the back and the smooth, weather-facing side shows on the outside. Running the correct reverse slider is what keeps that clean outer look and lets the zipper close the way it should.
Non-locking means the slider glides freely and stays wherever you leave it, with no internal pin holding it in place. It's the easy-moving choice for pockets, pouches, and openings that don't sit under constant tension, and it tends to feel a touch smoother than a locking slider. If you'd rather the slider hold firm under load, the locking version is the one to reach for.
