YKK #5 Vislon Zipper Chain (Molded Tooth) - 200m Full Roll

This is a full 200 metre roll of YKK #5 Vislon, sold as continuous chain so you cut whatever length the project needs. Sliders are sold separately, which is the point of buying chain: you decide whether a given zipper gets a single pull, a double pull, or a locking head, instead of buying a finished zipper and living with someone else's choice.

Vislon is YKK's molded tooth construction. The teeth are injection moulded directly onto the tape rather than woven or clamped on, which gives you a tooth that will not corrode, will not kink, and keeps running smoothly. Compared with a coil of the same size it is stiffer, more abrasion resistant, and noticeably chunkier to look at. That stiffness is the tradeoff worth understanding up front: coil is what you want around a tight radius, and Vislon is what you want on straight runs and gentle curves where you care more about durability than flexibility.

A full roll is a production purchase. It suits gear brands, repair shops, and makers who go through zipper by the hundreds of metres and want to stop paying by the foot. If you need a smaller quantity, we sell this same chain cut to length. Lead time on full rolls is approximately two weeks.
