Original Wax on 7oz cotton sailcloth, finished in the USA by a family-owned company that's been doing it for over a century. Same wax treatment as our 10.10oz canvas on a noticeably lighter base cloth, so it drapes rather than standing up on its own. Waxed it comes in at 9.45oz, against 13.54oz for the heavier canvas, and that difference in hand is the whole reason to pick one over the other.
The lighter weight suits jackets, hats, unstructured totes, liners, and anywhere the heavier canvas would be stiff and unwieldy. It still sheds rain and still develops the patina waxed cotton is known for, just on a fabric you can gather, fold, and wear. For structured bags that need to hold their shape, step up to the 10.10oz waxed canvas.
