DTRS75 is a rare combination: genuinely waterproof, yet ultralight. It starts with a 50d triple-ripstop polyester, then laminates it to a 0.75mil 100% recycled film, so you get a true waterproof barrier at just 78 gsm. The triple-ripstop grid gives it real tear resistance for such a light cloth, which is why it's a favourite for waterproof food bags and bear bags, where keeping weight down and water out both matter.
Beyond food storage, it shines anywhere an ultralight build needs to stay dry: stuff sacks, pack liners, dry bags, pouches, and lightweight shelters. It packs down small, sheds water, and resists the snags and abrasion that come with backcountry use, all while barely registering on a scale.
The recycled film keeps it a little kinder on the environment than a virgin-laminate equivalent. Sold per yard at a generous 60 inches wide, and shipped folded. Because it's a true waterproof laminate, taping or sealing the seams gives you a fully watertight finished piece.
Finish your build with webbing and hardware for closures and hang loops, a water-resistant zipper for dry pouches, or browse more technical laminate fabrics.
