A digital sewing pattern for a bikepacking handlebar bag, designed by Stitchback Gear. The BP1 is the first in their bikepacking series and it's a harness and bag system, with patterns for both parts included. If you already have a dry bag around 8" x 14", you can build just the harness and use that instead.
The bag holds roughly 13 litres and opens with a zipper in the end rather than the top, so you can get at your kit without unstrapping anything. A hook and loop patch stops it shifting sideways on rough ground, and the squared-off corners make seam sealing tape easy to apply if you want it weatherproof.
The harness is foam stiffened, with daisy chains across the top surface for attaching pouches or a bungee lashing system, plus a lower attachment strap. The pattern also covers making your own foam handlebar spacers, or you can skip that step and use ours.
