Seam stick tape is the notion that quietly makes your sewing look professional. It's double-sided adhesive on a roll with a paper backing on one face. You lay a strip along your seam allowance, peel the backing, press the second panel down, and sew. No pins, no shifting, no puckered topstitch on a slippery laminate.
If you've ever tried to pin X-Pac, silpoly, or anything with a film face, you already know the problem: the pin holes are permanent and the panels creep anyway. Tape solves both. It's also the only sane way to align a curved seam or hold a zipper straight on a long run.
It stays in the seam permanently and disappears once sewn, so there's nothing to pull out afterward. If the adhesive starts gumming your needle on a long run, a quick wipe with an alcohol swab clears it.
