This Stitchback DL was designed by Stitchback Gear

We recommend purchasing the pattern prior to ordering materials so you can ensure you fully understand the project and it's requirements.

A fairly straight forward project, good for those with some sewing experience.

Stitchback Gear's CAD drafted sewing patterns can give you a jump-start on your next myog project. Build the pattern as is, or use it as a launching point and customize it to fit your needs. This listing is for a digital download of a PDF file that includes a full size pattern and instructions. The pattern is formatted to be printed on 8.5x11" paper.

The Stitchback Day Light or "DL" daypack was designed to be easy to make. In order to simplify the construction of the pack, the design has been stripped down to the bare essentials. The result is a minimalist and streamlined pack.

With a volume of approximately 17 liters, the DL is sized for day hikes, travel, or use around town. The minimalist structure of the pack means that it is quite compactible when empty, This makes it a good option as a secondary pack to be carried in a larger pack or luggage for use on side trips etc.

The pack has several optional features that can be included for additional function, or omitted if the ultimate simplicity is desired.

The pack as shown in the photos weighs 8.6 oz. The final weight of the pack depends largely on the types of fabrics used, so this weight is given as a reference only.

FEATURES:

- Single compartment with drawstring closure

- Fabric shoulder straps with spacer mesh lining

- Interior hydration bladder sleeve

- Hydration tube port

- Optional inner zippered pocket

- Optional top compression strap

- Optional trekking pole loop and retainer

- Optional bungee lashing system

- Approximate dimensions: 8"W x 19"T x 7"D

- Approximate volume: 17 liters

Make it out of heavy duty materials such as 1200d Cordura Re/Cor, EPX200 as shown in the photos, for a pack that will last for years to come. Or build it with light weight materials such as Ultragrid for a pack well suited to peak bagging or other fast and light excursions.
